Karen’s 50th

Well, hasn’t it been an extraordinarily, warm, autumn day today, we topped 28°c! If felt like a warm spring day rather than an autumn day 11 days from winter starting. It won’t be long lived though as rain is forecast for tomorrow and a thunderstorm on Saturday! Anyhow, I found some time this afternoon to play with a new Hero Arts cling stamp I purchased yesterday called Poppy Background – I’ve turned it into a feature though and love it as an easel card! Made this card for my SIL who turns 50 in about 6 weeks, so I’m a little ahead of schedule with this one. I’ve stamped the image in Ancient Page Coal Black, coloured it with various Copic markers, then clear embossed over the entire panel to add shine & depth and it really made the copic colours pop. Cardstock colours – Pink Pirouette and Basic Black. Sentiment is one from the SU set Heard from the Heart. The prop for the easel is some basic black cardstock overlayed with pink pirouette 5/8″ double striped grosgrain ribbon held in place by the black brads. After sponging around the insert I added it to the card. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday, bring on the weekend! Hope your week is going well & thanks for taking the time to drop by!
